About PAT
Often we drive or walk around doing our day to day activities, so consumed with our personal thoughts and daily stresses, that we don’t really notice the beauty that constantly surrounds us.
As a landscape photographer, I’ve been recording the beauty of God’s creation through the lens of my camera for over 25-years. With the use of natural light, composition and perfect timing, I try to capture the uninhibited beauty of nature in its most simplistic form, wherever I go.
I was bitten by the photo bug at an early age. Freezing moments in time throughout my elementary and high school years. Upon entering college, I combined my love for photography and writing into a photojournalism major. In order to pay for my education, I left college to work and later took a fulltime job as a television news photographer. Although I make my living working in the TV industry, I’ve dedicated my free time to my passion. Continually taking classes to further develop my skills, has given me the confidence and expertise to maintain a part time photography business.
As an event photographer, creating lifetime memories for family, friends and clients gives me more pleasure than I can adequately express. Whether it's capturing a child happily at play, a celebrity receiving an award, or just folks enjoying themselves at a special event..they are all precious moments you want to remember. Capturing or freezing a moment in time, a moment that will never happen again, and having that memory to cherish forever, is the premise for Photos Artistically Taken (PAT).
My work has been displayed in New York City, Dallas, Texas and Silver Spring, Maryland. I belong to National Professional Photographers Association(NPPA),
Women in Film & Video(WIFV) and Greater Silver Spring Chamber of Commerce.
